McKena earned the award after running in the varsity competition at the First To The Finish Invitational. McKena completed the 3.0 mile race in a time of (22:51 seconds) which is a personal best. McKena placed 253rd out of 333 runners in the varsity competition. This is amazing because McKena is new to the sport. One could only imagine how fast McKena could be if she had gone out for the sport a year or two earlier. Awesome Job!!!
Winning has nothing to do with racing. Most days don’t have races anyway. Winning is about struggle and effort and optimism, and never, ever, ever giving up.
