R.I. Inte Champs

Rock Island Illinois (Saukie Golf Course)  The day started off, dark and gloomy, however when the gun went off for both races, it was sunshine for the Maroons and overcast and cloudy for the other teams today.  The team ran well today, and many Maroons ran to a personal best.  The coaches were impressed with the way that some of the athletes just went out and competed and responded  when it was time to challenge other runners.  Rule #1 as a Maroon – Never Give Up!  And because of this the #6 runner Michael Aumuller was the deciding factor in determining the team outcome.  Just remember every athlete on this team is valuable in many ways, and sometimes one of your teammates may be having a bad day, and you must take it upon yourself and step it up.     Today it’s Great to be a Maroon:)  Let’s Celebrate – Great Job
Special kudos goes out to Freshman Jackson McClellan for running 17:19 for only his second time racing this year and Freshman, Lylia Gomez for running sub 20:00 for the first time this year with a time of (19:51)

Great Job Today Team!!!
