Detweiller Park – First to the Finish – The weather was perfect!! The course was in very good condition, considering all the rain throughout the week. The Mighty Maroons ran personal best on the (State Championship Course) today and if this course was completely dry today (personal best would have been off the charts. 96% of the Team ran to a (Personal Best Today) Outstanding:) This is comparing times to last year performances on this course. Special kudos goes out to Lylia Gomez for going sub 19:00 minute for the first time this season (18:23) and is now ranked #2 on the Maroon top 5 times list as a Sophomore. This is only the second race of the season and the Maroons have many athlete’s either on IR or coming back from some type of injury. Remember it’s not how you start, but how you finish – Tony .T
