Minooka – Cloudy and cool, temps maybe reaching 40 and a very wet course. Did I say muddy and puddles and wet, however no rain until after the race. You didn’t hear one complaint from the Lady Maroons whatsoever. One runner even said we all have to compete in the same conditions. When I heard this comment I knew the team was ready and focused to race. Going into this meet the goal was to have the team finish and place in the top 6 to advance to the next meet , “sectional.’ Going up against Illinois best “Yorkville and Minooka,” the lady Maroons weren’t afraid to compete. Yorkville is ranked 4th in the state of Illinois and one of the top 50 ranked teams in the U.S. The team that won the WB6 last week ran even better today as a team than last week. (Great Job – Keep it Going)
It’s not how you start, but how you finish – Tony T
