Temp 75 & Overcast, light rain after the race

Medals Galore!!  (This is one invitational you circle the date when the season starts. This is a must race at all cost to get a medal.  Therefore if you’re thinking about getting injured, or sprained ankle, illness of any kind, ‘you run this race first.’  20 medals were given out in each division class and a total of 160 all together for this meet.  Back the truck up or bus because the Maroons are weighted down after this meet with all the medals they took home.  I think the bus had a little trouble getting back to the school because of all the additional weight of the hardware.

This year  the Geneseo Invite added a new team to the race and that team “WWS.’  Wheaton Warrenville South is coached by former Moline track and crosscountry  superstar Rob Harvey.  Coach Harvey and coach T ran on the winning 4×800  state championship relay team capturing a gold medal and recording the fastest time ever in the state that year..  They also ran on the third place state crosscountry championship team taking home a bronze medal for the Maroons.
