Weather: Very cool 30-40s the entire Day
This Regional Final was one of the toughest if not the toughest to advance a team to the sectional meet next week. This regional final had defending state team champions and several top five teams in the state that placed at the IHSA Championship last year. The Maroons did their best, however the competition was fierce and fast and furious. Jon Hutton who had ran 15:53 earlier in the year, was just a little off today. Jackson McClellan ran well today in a time of 15:30 and qualified to run in the IHSA Sectional next week in Chicago. Due to the tight security and restrictions to protect the athlete’s, from all spectators, pictures were difficult to get.
