It was perfect weather for the IHSA State Championships today, however the course was pretty muddy due to the over night rainfall and five additional races before the main event. Andrew went out blazing, but not to fast. After running in flooding conditions at the regional meet, and freezing temps at the sectional meet, not today it was Fog. It was like the Fourth of July fireworks convention, because you could not see a thing. That didn’t stop Andrew from performing at a high level today, batting now fog and a muddy cross country course. On this day Andrew ran like a champion and ran to a time of 15:30 and a 105th place finish. Andrew went into the race with a goal of 15:00 minutes, however due to the course additional elements, Andrew ran 15:30 which is awesome. If this course would have been dry, (it would have been lights out) sub 15:00 for Andrew!!! Big heart & courageous
