Sala Hanne
Sala earned the award after taking 3rd place at the Western Big 6 Conference Meet among a field of 89 runners. Sala ran an outstanding race by going out with teammate Keeley Knobloch for the first 2 miles. Sala maintained her position throughout the last one mile by finishing the race with a time of (18:58). Sala was the #2 runner for the team today, however many spectators and teams were in awe at her ability to finish the race so strongly. Today was a special day because today Sala made a name for herself. Today every coach and spectator know that Moline have a talented runner name “Sala Hanne.’ She can be funny at times, however when the racing shoes are on, “you better look out.’ Sala finishing 3rd overall surprised the competition which, helped the Maroons win it’s 7th straight Western Big 6 Conference Title. Her name once again “Sala Hanne.’
