Emma Vyncke
Emma earned the award after taking 34th place at the Western Big 6 Conference Meet among a field of 89 runners. Emma ran with a group of runners throughout the race. The last one mile of the race Emma started to make her move, by passing competitors. With 600 meters left in the race, Emma begin passing everyone in her sight. Emma finished the race with a strong kick, finishing the race in a time of (21:37). Emma was the Maroons #7 runner for the team today, which helped the Maroons win it’s 7th straight Western Big 6 Conference Title.
Emma is a very, very talented runner and during practice she runs effortlessly in difficult workouts. When everyone else is gasping for air, Emma is smiling and lining up for the next rep. Emma plays a vital role on the team because cross country is a team sport and every runner is instrumental to the team success. When Emma is not running, she is most likely in the library studying, or working on various school projects. Emma class rank is currently #2 Great Job!!!
