Timothy Knobloch miss qualifying for state by 24 seconds. Coach Taylor and Iams knew going into the race Timothy had a good chance to qualify for the state meet. Timothy had just run 15:50 two weeks ago and this race would challenge him with a loaded field and competition. The entire week Timothy was fired up to race on Saturday. Timothy looked good the first two miles, however lost contact with the qualifying pack that last mile. Timothy ran a good race by competing and challenging the other runners. You always want to put yourself in a position to win and compete. If you start out in the back of the pack,’you’ll never be in the race.’
