It was a nice day for a conference meet in Sterling today. The Maroons took third place in the girls race and finished 5th in the boys race.
The Maroons girls ran very well today, however the Quincy girls team is very, very good this year with the (Schuering Sisters) and most likely state bound if they can compete as they did today at Sterling . Congrats goes out to our All Conference Medalist Lexi Havercamp 6th place finish and Abbly Debleick 7th place finish. One side note to point out is that the girls lost two top returning athlete’s for the season. Lilly Flores was the number 1 runner for the team last year, however her parents moved to a different state. The other runner is Eryn Roberston a 5:20 miler that didn’t run the entire season due to a stress fracture. Just imagine what could have been? With Coach T and Jill coaching, “a very deadly team.’
The Maroons boys team, led by senior Jackson Rudd with a 12th place finish. The team finished 5th place today however, they were just a little off.
